PFR Ministries Overview
Presbyterians for Renewal conducts an active ministry in numerous area, as well as providing online and print resources. Our areas of ministry include:
 Christian Life Conference
This popular renewal conference for the entire family, attended by about 1000 each year, is widely known for its inspiring speakers and seminar leaders, its strong youth and children's programs, and its many family recreation opportunities.
Congregational Renewal
The Congregational Renewal & Officer Development Ministry conducts three- or four-day events to focus on preaching and teaching the Word of God and shared
testimonies from people of other Presbyterian congregations. PFR Congregational Renewal Ministry also provides a very effective
tool to spiritually revive church officers. This retreat-style event is normally
conducted in four sessions, often Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.
East Coast Pastors Conference
The East Coast Pastors’ Conference is held each year to foster fellowship and unity among Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) pastors and churches in the Eastern segment of the United States, and to edify pastors of Presbyterian churches in the face of their on-going work of Ministry of Word and Sacrament.
Issues
The PFR Issues Ministry is authorized to speak on issues matters on behalf of PFR. It is composed of PFR board members, who are pastors and elders from across the country. PFR Issues Ministry produces statements, analyses, and background papers on
significant national issues as a service to renewal-minded Presbyterians.
Officer Development
The PFR Officer Development Ministry has designed a brief, but very effective tool to spiritually revive church officers. This retreat-style event is normally conducted in four sessions, often Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. Click on title for more information.
Seminary
This Seminary Ministry offers orientation about the realities of seminary life and educational experience for those entering seminary, and will secure mentors for graduates at the time of ordination and in their first pastorate.
Small Church (Wee Kirk)
The purpose of the Small Church (Wee Kirk) Ministry is to inspire, equip, motivate, encourage and provide rest and refreshment for pastors and elders of small Presbyterian churches. Regional conferences across the U.S. are held each Fall.
Ministry for Women (Network of Presbyterian Women in Leadership)
This ministry is committed to equipping and encouraging this generation of women leaders through networking, mentoring, scholarships, speaker’s bureau, conferences and more!
Youth Conference
The vision of Youth Conference Ministries is to minister to young people in such
a way that they would experience the power of God in their lives daily. Annual conferences are planned during the summer months.
